Akana specializes in development of processes/technology for a wide range of intermediates which are used for synthesis of APIs. Akana through its partners in various parts of India not only gets the manufacturing processes/technology developed but also gets these synthesised at some of the advanced facilities for intermediates synthesis. The focus here is on intermediates for import substitution which are largely imported from China/other countries. With supply chain hiccups all over the world, local manufacturing and supply of intermediates is the need of the day as long as cost can be contained to match the landed cost of imported products. This is not only our national duty but also support for the domestic industry in India which has so far been dependent on overseas intermediates. Depending on the country where the product is planned to be sold, registration dossiers complying with local regulatory requirements including accelerated and real time stability data (for appropriate zone) will be provided after signing a non-disclosure ( confidentiality) agreement.
